Q: You got anybody announcing at this thing?

A: We have a dynamic duo lined up to entertain and inform you throughout the weekend: Mike Bassin from NHRA Div. 1 country, and the one and only Bob Unkefer. Straight-shooter depth of knowledge mixed with racer-savvy and sense of humor, I picture this pair as the next Abbott and Costello. I think they will complement each other quite well. There may be some surprise guest announcers as well.

Speaking of Staff...

If you didn't already know, REDMAN is in charge of the starting line all weekend, along with his understudy, NHRA Div. 3 starter Bradley. Nitro Joe Jackson is the race director, and our expanding lineup of tech officials includes NHRA Div. 3's Donald Braun along with IHRA veterans Jim Woods, Danny Waters, Sr., Robert Kinton, Murph, and Donnie Crowder. I'm working on getting y'all one more NHRA Tech. We also have some volunteers waiting on deck to lend a helping hand where needed!

Ed should, because Bill is giving away a Honda EU2000i portable generator from Bagley Tractor & Equipment (www.bagleytractor.com) to one lucky winner during Sunday's main event! But I'm sure everyone already knew about that and the other $50,000 worth of cash, prizes, and contingency on top of the other $50,000 in payouts...

Long drive Bill. Depends on how the old fart is getting along. Would be fun. If I do, maybe I could follow you up there?

I am sure it is harder to get everyone in class up there at the same time, but it sure would make it better for watching.
Thanks,

I agree with you, it would make for a better fan experience, but it might be difficult to pull off. I'm really hoping that the SS/K Shootout cars can come up together, as it would probably be 8 -10 pairs at most to assemble. Perhaps Mr. Carpenter can get his participants together somehow. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and my camera ready.

The plan will.be for all of us up there together each round. Split up makes no sense.

Silver Cards will be honored as well for the $260 Weekend Entry. (Again, S/SS Combo Warmup and Crew are not included)

if everything goes right I'm wanting to run the SS/K shootout out of the "hot car" lane (in front of the bleachers) and line them up on a angle up front so people sitting in bleachers can do a photo op of all the cars sitting there for this classical shootout.

After watching you 'hammer down' in Belle Rose last week, I have confidence that the old fart will be getting along just fine. It's a 1,000 miles one way for us, would be glad to have a second vehicle in the convoy. Maybe we could rendezvous somewhere in Arkansas?
