What does NHRA consider mineshaft condition
I have heard they have used this at some races this already. So some combos do not have strikes against them. I did not see HP for the COPO on NHRAracer yet?

Re: What does NHRA consider mineshaft condition
NHRA was considering adopting the 'mineshaft rules' for S/SS. Currently (to my knowledge), it only exists in Comp. If more than half the field is -.61 under or more in qualifying (12 or more cars in a 22 car field), the permanent hit for CIC is raised from -.61 to -.66 in Comp.
Not sure if there is any deal like this currently in place for Stock or Super Stock.

Re: What does NHRA consider mineshaft condition
Would make it interesting, if x-percent of cars qualify at -x.xx, there is no AHFS, or the triggers are raised to -1.10 (flag) and -1.30 (automatic). Something to kick around (especially at some of the fast spring/fall events).

Re: What does NHRA consider mineshaft condition
When I first started racing, going to the faster tracks in cool weather we would think. "Oh boy! It's going to be fast there!"
Now, it's more like "Oh crap! It's going to be fast there! Hope I don't have a heads up!"

Re: What does NHRA consider mineshaft condition
I think they got +14 HP today according to the class guide. They've got it dated wrong though

That's a pretty good hit.
