Get someone to custom bend to your needs instead of some generic kit.

Yep, I only keep cromoly but sometimes racers want mild steel so I buy a kit for them. I have a bender so I can make tweeks to help the fitment but in general none of the kits fit very good. Used most brands out there of them I'd say S&W is the closest to fitting decent IMO. To have a very nice fitting cage it has to be custom bent, some of the vendors will do that for you but you need to supply all the measurements. Good luck.

Same here ,I use them for quick mild steel jobs .As Joe said ,the S&W kit is usually fairly close as far as notching and fit .
The hoop and rear bars usually are damn close ,the side bars I usually tweak for extra shoulder and armrest clearance .
Because the tubes are machine notched by a plasma machine you still need to do some cleanup grinding on the tube for a clean and perfect fit.
Personally ,I would not build an A body Mopar without a full cage with bars thru the firewall .They are just too flimsy ,search back thru some of the threads regarding crashes with them.

Suggest you ask what general area you're in and ask recommendations for someone to do the job for you....and go full cage; one of my pet peeves are the bars not being close to and following the contour of the A post. and a bar running forward thru the firewall to the front frame rail is a real plus for rigidity. You may think you don't need it now but you never know how much power you may end up with.

I got tired of kissing butt wanting bars bent, so I bought my own. These guys are giving good advice, no kits. There's so much more versatility bending your own stuff (or having someone do it) and installing the bars to fit you. I'm actually doing my Duster now and utilizing all the pressure points of the chassis, front and rear. Like the guy said, a-bodys are just thin metal and spot welds more or less designed to flex over 100,000 miles of the life of car. Raise the front of your car about 3-4 feet, then drop it, now you know why support is needed out there. Hard as heck to tune a chassis, with it flexing, on a nine inch tire. My 2 cents. Mike

Depending on the level of involvement you're comfortable with a basic bender is fairly inexpensive. The ability to bend tubing properly comes with practice, however there are several brands of software that can really help, I use them and they have really helped me not fill the scrap bin.

Yes, should have added, some brain, physical and talent ability is required. If one of those is missing, let someone else do the job.
