That really sucks. Same hotel I believe that a crew member of Ralph Van Pappegan a few days earlier had his truck just about stolen but the thieves ran off with tools and other items as they couldn't get the truck started. Hope the truck is found intact and the low lifes dealt with. A motel to avoid for sure.

Thumbs down Re: 2002 GMC Crew Cab Dually STOLEN from Vegas!!

I guess this gives a whole new meaning to Motel 6's catch phrase - - We'll leave the light on. That was from a few years ago.

I suppose this means ALL racers will need campers/motorhomes in the future. Even then they are NOT totally safe from IDIOTS that steal from good people.

I hope all the vehicles and tools are found/returned in great shape.

Kind of odd that someone would steal a 20 year old truck. I am sure it was in nice condition bit not worth a trip to prison. Probably will be in a container going to another country.

Any updates on this deal. Have Hal and Joe been able to make it to Pomona.

A trip to prison? Not likely any more. The police told them "if you find it, let us know". They don't investigate car theft.

They were able to borrow a van from one of alcohol racer Clint Thompson's crew to get to Pomona, and made it there.

It has pretty much always been that way. The police only solve a crime if it’s dropped in their laps. I have had stuff stolen from me and had to investigate myself. I was able to eventually find the thief’s. None were put in jail for their offense.

Mike,
Justice comes in many flavors. It's just a matter of taste.

All they need is a VIN from a wreck. And those trucks bring killer money. I've got one, and turned down $25K for it.
