Re: '23 Rule Revision for SS?
Indy 2022 #1 qualifier SS Ernie Neal '96 Caprice 10.960 12.65 -1.690
I'm gonna guess this is the guy who got his new class in exchange for not being able to run GT.

Re: '23 Rule Revision for SS?
Where did you find this? I see the new class was created but the new index isn’t listed.

Re: '23 Rule Revision for SS?
Yeah, I think the Caprice is probably closer to the 18lb/hp class but I'd rather not add another 200lbs to the car just to be shoved down into the new class. Honestly, we were much happier when the 265 was in the Cavalier with a stick but here we are.
My dad and I were talking and maybe QA is for the V6 Firebirds trying to run SS/PA? or for 4cyl Super Stockers if there are some in the works? Its not like there are a lot of cars running in any of the lower SS classes anyways. |

Re: '23 Rule Revision for SS?
You might be on to something! Looked at the factor for the late model Firebirds in SS lately?

My 88 Olds wagon with 307 roller would fit.

I hate it! I get bored and get stupid!
Along those lines, Mark! Mark! Check THIS out!!!! http://www.classracerinfo.com/Classi...=75283&TRANS=0 Gotta find a "benefactor" for this one! Think about it! SS/Q, Stage it, hold it at, what, 8500 and drop the clutch and start pulling gears! And a 5 speed to boot!

Looks like the Gremlin could use a bit of help to run SS/QA..12.95 @ 3050..hp for SS is at 160....ouch with that little carter 2 barrel......I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask for some hp off the motor for SS, as it is at their discretion. Interesting moves, from them to say the least. Eric
