I have wide shoulders, I can say I'm wrong. Must be the part I'm missing for sure. It does say all the combo's runs in all classes count towards the trigger. So all runs with that combo, no matter what class, makes the average? Learn something new every day is a good thing.

yes and no. Only runs .65 or further under count towards the average. In my case, I can't go fast enough to bring the average down for my combo, which is unbelievably counterintuitive.

Why not a personal index for those who have damaged the horsepower on a certain comb. They could go as fast as they want, were they want and not have others suffer the consequences? It works in Comp.

Sounds like a common sense solution!

Guys and gals, a lot of merit for people that think outside the box. One
question I had was for heads up runs. IE, Lyn and I both have '73 Centurys
and he goes -1.30 under, and I don't. Now I can go -1.20 under, and I want to beat him in the final of a national event. it's a heads up race, so where
is Lynn's penalty. I want it to be heads up. So I think it might make more
sense to penalize Lyn the horsepower he got, lets say 10 H.P. and carry
on. So instead of 1200 Stock Racers all having their own personal index,
the affected Combo Killer might have a higher HP factor. So Lynn might be at 285 HP x 12:00 ibs. and the rest of us with the same combo would be
274 HP. So Lynn would weigh 3590 and the rest of us would weigh
3458.

I have to disagree, this would just ruin stock and super stock. Might as well just go bracket or .90 racing. Wait I already did that.

J.R. , You've been here long enough to know the solution...
If Lyn can go that fast, then you can too.. You just need to work harder, and spend more money...Lot and lots more money. ;-)

Mark, I agree. I dislike both ideas. I was trying to show why we couldn't
have personal indexes as they have in Comp because we would lose
heads up runs. We never know who reads these posts, and some
keener might run back to the office, looking for brownie points, and
burst in the office saying" Look what I came up with". If it's a bad day,
and their boss likes it, we could be in trouble. I merely try to present
the better way to go in a bad scenario. Remember, making it equal and
easier for everyone is how we got the index system.

If you slo pokes would run the right class
YOU WONT GET HP.
STOP with personal index
This is what Nhra wants HP to be given
Players play the game …losers complain
