Dallas Jones passes
Longtime owner of Bowling Green, Kentucky’s iconic Beech Bend raceway park has passed away. Dallas and his family have operated Beech Bend since 1984. Hopefully his grandson Brock Porter will continue his Legacy. GODSPEED. …..

Re: Dallas Jones passes
Dallas and family’s Beach Bend Park was the yardstick that was used to measure and compare other tracks to, and in my opinion, the Crown Jewel of racing venues. Dallas was always fair, firm, and friendly.
Thanks for giving all of us a great place to bring our family to for a great time. Prayers for the families. RIP Dallas Last edited by Larry Hill; 02-26-2023 at 10:36 AM. |

Re: Dallas Jones passes
The last time we were at Bowling Green (I think 2021) our awning became wrapped up in itself. We were in a Entegra and it had gull wing awnings. We basically needed scaffolding to get up there to work on them. They were still half retracted and full of water. Quite the mess. John disappeared and a short time later came back with Dallas. He was driving a huge front end loader. It took us ever bit of an hour to get everything back operational. After hoisting us up on his forks Dallas sat there on the loader watching patiently waiting for us to get fixed. We were constantly joking as John was a safety trainer by trade complete with his OSHA certification training verifications. Obviously John was one of those do as I say guys and NOT do as I do. LOL
How many other owners of dragstips would have taken time out of his day to do such a nice deed? RIP Dallas, you were very unique
