Re: Who's going to GALOT?
Sorry, Real Drag Racing is a quarter mile. Not 1000' or 660'. Just my opinion, and I'm too old and grumpy to change now. Not going.

Re: Who's going to GALOT?
Weather is not looking good. Will NHRA call it if the weather is 85% thunderstorms?

Re: Who's going to GALOT?
Its pretty much a good chance of thunderstorms around here until September so I wouldn't think it would be cancelled because of that.

Re: Who's going to GALOT?
I know a forecast is just that, but with the week after looking perfect and this weekend forecasting 80%-90% I wasn't sure what they would do.

Re: Who's going to GALOT?
It just depends on what site you look, Accuweather shows 40percent one day and 60 percent another. This has been hashed out many times before but anything over 3 days is very unreliable. Thunderstorms are a different ballgame also, if it was showing rain for those days you might consider rescheduling but thunderstorms are so hit and miss I wouldn't worry much about that especially this time of year. Just like the horrible rain they predicted for us this weekend, we had 3 hard showers all weekend and with the heat everything was dried up in a couple hours.

Re: Who's going to GALOT?
I was at Motor Mile this weekend. Forecast said rain Thursday night (didn't rain), rain at 3pm on Friday (didn't rain), clear Saturday, and rain all day Sunday (had a couple bits of downtime for sprinkles, but they finished the race. Our race at VMP back in March said 50% chance from noon all the way through the day. Didn't rain until 7:30pm.
