Default Teching in question.

I am trying to get my stocker teched in the morning at the Columbus divisional race so I can get a grade point. I just finished my cylinder head up and am installing it now. I dont think I am even going to attempt to make a pass this weekend. As a matter of fact its just a little 4 cylinder street car with tags and insurance etc, and I think Im just going to drive it from Cincy. Its at best a 13 second car for the time being, and all the usual stuff is factory such as belts, batter hold down yadda. My question regarding tech is, do I need to have the points number or any other stickers etc? Any other last minute tips?

Im good to go on all credentials. Its a 14 second car... I dont think there is any safety stuff to worry about hahah. I was talking to someone at national trail early about something different and I briefly mentioned the situation about teching in. He ran it by Jay, and told me before I even go to tech to just go see Jay in room 103. Maybe they will just collect my money an go if I dont make a pass haha.

Thumbs down Re: Teching in question.

Maybe NHRA wil just give out grading points and start keeping all of the win, runner up and round money for themselves if all racers start thinking this way. It seems that grade points is one reason why some wont run a combo race or an IHRA event.

A current certified helmet is required in all cars in Stock.

Yeah I know who you are. I had a last minute parts debacle. Could of been avoided. I just flat out missed the fact a vendor didnt ship something I needed. Im a one man show working one full time job, doing sales for a friends company on the side, efi tuning and porting on the side for others, building an unconventional stocker, in the midst of laying the ground work to lease the engine machine shop I used to work at, and trying to get laid here or there ha. I wont beat myself up too bad for my own stuff. It will be so much easier if everything works out the way it could and I get to ditch the day jobs sooner than later. It would be nice to only have my own car to worry about after hours lol.
