Apd throttle stop problem
Has anyone running this set up had issues with the stop being inconsistent coming on?? Seems the first couple times I cycle the stop it hangs up closing then seems fine for a few hits then will hang up again... I have changed the solenoid & distribution block and it still does it.

Re: Apd throttle stop problem
I have installed the Max Speed carbs on 5 different cars. I also have them on two of my own cars and have never seen this. I'm sure you've already checked the basics:
Is anything binding? Is it hitting a SLE? Good CO2 bottle pressure? I wouldn't hesitate to call the guys at APD. I bet I've made a dozen calls there with some really dumb questions, and they've always been great to work with. Good luck, and let us know what you find out to be the problem. |

Re: Apd throttle stop problem
Ended up putting a few drops of air tool oil in the small adjusters on the ram and it seemed to solve the problem

Re: Apd throttle stop problem
Actually it wasn't that it was hanging up....The first few hits were normal then it would slam closed at full speed several times then normal intermittently. There must have been a dried out o ring in the adjuster.
