Sorry to hear about your bad luck there Rob.
Your videos are the best quality out there, IMO.

Re: Robz need for speed videos at Bowling Green.
This is very upsetting. Its not like the NHRA videos our classes at any good angle or with any artistic flair. How much longer are they going to continue to use that stupid camera on the centerline pointing back at the tree, which does ZERO justice to how any drag car leaves...
Time to write some emails to NHRA folks. Keep it respectful, professional and on point, but get moving on this. One key point, is that Rob's videos have become so popular on YouTube and Facebook, that they could clearly be considered a "Free plug" for NHRA. I understand the whole "All Access" thing being in competition with Rob, but right now, the masses and generation X are getting exposed to NHRA sportsman racing because of Rob's videos on social media. How in the heck can that be bad for NHRA? Sorry to hear about this Rob. I'm betting, it will reverse course soon...... Kevin |

Re: Robz need for speed videos at Bowling Green.
Speaking of which, got this the other day
It was in response to the petition that was on here a while back. May 27, 2016 Dear Mr. Jones: Thank you very much for contacting me regarding H.R. 4715, the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act. I appreciate hearing from you on this matter and I welcome the opportunity to respond. As you may know, H.R. 4715 would amend the Clean Air Act to block the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from regulating modified motor vehicles, which can be used for racing and different activities. You may be pleased to know that the EPA announced it was dropping proposed language that would have prevented amateur drivers from converting street cars into race cars. The proposed language was part of a rule introduced by EPA in 2015. Thank you again for taking the time to contact me. I appreciate hearing from you and ask that you keep me informed on matters of concern to you in the futu Sincerely, ROSA L. DeLAURO Member of Congress RLD/mg |

Re: Robz need for speed videos at Bowling Green.
Rob and All
I am reading this after a busy day of doing something other than racing with NHRA. It seems to me, you are a great media representative. NHRA gets an unpaid genius working for free, and then ban him! >W-T-F< Rob, If they really want to help themselves, and the racers, they would give you an air conditioned suite, and full fiber optic internet. You are as good as they get. I filmed some classic racing in the old days, and can tell everyone, that a camcorder isn't the best way to watch racing. Your sacrifice is most appreciated, I can't believe you do it for free! NHRA doesn't have many paid workers humping it harder than you do. Your quality is outstanding, and they should be kissing your butt, and comp-ing you like a new soda CFO king pin. In today's new media age, everyone is a reporter, but most average Joe's are lousy at that. With video, it only matters if you got the shot. NHRA has a great product in the class cars, but they don't market it. Oh and shame on anyone promoting it. It looks like another year of stupid from the new Glendora, same as the old Glendora! ex NHRA member Last edited by Don Sofranko; 05-29-2016 at 09:47 AM. Reason: spelling |

Re: Robz need for speed videos at Bowling Green.
Rob, your videos are among the best out there. I always have enjoyed them and wish you good luck in the future. I guess NHRA isn't paying attention to what is going on out there. When you have a guy or gal giving you free promotion why would you put a stop to it. Doesn't make any sense to me. Oh, wait a minute, I forgot common sense doesn't apply anymore.

Re: Robz need for speed videos at Bowling Green.
To be fair, there was a sponsor who paid money to have the race live streamed on you tube.
If you owned that sponsor, and paid out your sponsorship dollars, to provide free live streamed coverage for fans over the Internet, how would you feel about NHRA allowing someone else to post videos for the cost of press credentials? I don't have anything at all against Rob. However, I do understand where both NHRA and the sponsor of the live Internet video feed could have a problem with what he wanted to do, from a business view point. As a solution, maybe Rob should talk to that sponsor about using what he does to enhance their coverage.
