"Live From" Virginia NHRA Nationals
Hello everyone, we just pulled in the stacking area and it looks like there are about 100 rigs here already. They have us parked in the second stacking area as the back road to the pits are full already. Weather wise, you could not ask for a nicer day, sunny mid 70's. There is no rain in the forecast, but it will be in the upper 80's for Friday, Saturday and Sunday's racing.
Parking begins tomorrow at 8:00am, Stock will be out first Friday morning at 8:30 with Q1. |

Good morning all, what looked to be kind of a cluster this morning as far as parking goes, turned out rather well. Everybody that was stacked is now parked. Even with only two officials parking us (Dan and Andrew) two of the easiest guys to talk to about getting parked. They always work with you and are polite and do the best to park you with your friends.
The weather is absolutely perfect, mid 70's with a nice breeze. I found a few cars out as most racers are organizing their pit area. |

Phil Lankford from Gold Rush, a Class Racer sponsor is back out with his freshly painted 2014 427 COPO. The paint is absolutely top notch, with lots of cool details that can only be appreciated in person.

Re: "Live From" Virginia NHRA Nationals
Good afternoon everyone, we arrived about 1 this afternoon and was brought right in and parked. Got everything setup, went to tech and registration and are now bench racing a little. It was very smooth and easy to get parked.
I know what you're thinking, what the hell is Coot doing there so early! Well work was a little slow this week and mama said the kids couldn't miss any more school so I took off a little early to get a decent parking spot for a change. With no kids to chase around this weekend I will be able to hopefully get some good reporting in this weekend.

Re: "Live From" Virginia NHRA Nationals
Hi kids - So here we are with a 'Chamber of commerce' type of day at Virginia Motorsports Park but it didn't start out that way as it was dark and overcast when I rolled in about 10 am .Plenty of good parking space in the pits for a change and haven't heard anyone complain yet .But it was just like the Army this morning - "hurry up and wait" .Walked around a bit visiting and everyone is in the same mode- RV repair and race car upkeep.
As usual there wasn't much tech but a lot of paperwork .Later...….
