LOL.....I hear you. Id prefer to just shoot the scumbags until they are dead when they break in but you cant be trapped in your home 24/7.

Luckily, here in Mississippi, we have the "castle law" which allows us to defend our properties and extends to our automobiles. The sheriffs department told us to shoot and make it count. Lessens their work and then there is no one to recount your statement of what happened. Haven't had a thing come up stolen in last two years here at home.

Cool Re: Stolen race car

We had a guy one place I worked that showed me a real nice device for tool box security. He took a lamp cord, stripped about three inches of insulation off both wires, laid one under the rubber mat on his real nice Snap On top and bottom box, the other wire rested on the rubber mat where the top box would rest on it.Plugging this thing in resulted in the two boxes having opposite polarities. Our shop had a side exit/entrance and it was left open during lunch when things used to happen. It was also possible to unplug the cord and give it a tug to hide it real quick if necessary.I would loved to see how it worked!!

Wasn't talking about race cars. We had a big problem with chop shops around here.
It wasn't relevant. Sorry.

Another solution is a bear trap. Then the bastards can't run away.
Actually had a couple of them when we had the garage in Brooklyn.
Our best theft deterent was when a close friend who did air conditioning work for Carlo Gambino's house on Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn. Talked Mrs. Gambino into renting the garage to us. We didn't even need to lock the door.
