Question EZ Plate Systems

Any Super Class racers use an EZ Plate System? Curious - would like to hear some input if you use it.

Cannot imagine you are going to find many since it is a MPH game and the EZ plate system does just the opposite by killing MPH. Good system though I have a lot of freinds that use them in the Gas classes with great success.

What about the Willys Carb restrictor plate? That is adjustable without adding or removing plates.

I used a Willy's a few times when I was running some index races and it worked really well for me. Only problem I ever had was the threaded part started loosening and the vibration would cause it to open, someone told me about putting a little locktite on the threads and never had another issue. I did use it at a couple division races in hot rod and it was very dialable, my car was a slower car so the loss of mph was not an issue to me because I was used to looking over my shoulder 98% of the time anyway.

I think if you are simply trying to shave a little in ET then these systems are likely the best way to go.

Agree with this 100%, my car was a low hp car and would only be on the throttle stop around a half second and sometimes could be very unpredictable at times. I would say for racers only needing to slow down 3 or 4 tenths this would be the way to go otherwise go for the mph.

Been using Willy's adjustable restrictor plate for the past 6 seasons. That said, there is no simplier, easier or quicker way to adjust your ET up to 5+ tenths in less than 30 seconds.
