Re: RIP Mr Blue Max
RIP. I can still see him at Indy in 79 in the stands betting on the SS time trials. I'm not sure if the guys were betting on the car colours or what because I don't think they knew a SS/JA Camaro from a SS/DA Camaro , it was just who got to the finish line first. He had a lot of fun with the fans that day.

The Blue Max was one of my favorites, and I remember seeing Raymond almost every week as part of the Coca Cola Cavalcade of Funny Cars at "Smokin" US 30 dragstrip on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday, Sunday, Sundaaaaayyyy. He will be missed, RIP

Ray speaks at 12:11 from 1979 World Finals. This race decided the FC Championship for Raymond Beadle. Last edited by blkjack; 10-21-2014 at 08:27 PM. |

Re: RIP Mr Blue Max
When I was stationed in England I raced at Santa Pod. Ray and the team would come over to race and sell their last year's car to the track owned. Water Bed Fred would come over to our pits and get ice as we had the only supply at the track. Sure will miss Ray. A great racer and a great guy.
