Re: New National Dragster Coverage
I thought it was just me. I don't read the Dragster anymore as I have found a way better use for it. I did open the Indy sportsman results issue to see the Superstock coverage. Imagine my surprise when I noticed there was NO STORY, NO RECAP. NO PRINT....I know what Ryan looks like, I know what his camaro looks like....I just wanted to read his story....his first final, wading through a 128 car field at The Big Go, defeating the JIMs in the semis,........What is going on in GLENDORA ?? When it pertains to the Sportsman ,.....evidently NOTHING.........

Re: New National Dragster Coverage
"Spoke with a prominent NHRA racer / company / sponsor just a few minutes ago and I asked him about it and he said OH YA "Got told by a racer who won INDY and hadn't been contacted by Nasty Dragster so he called them, and was told "Those writers have been released and we won't be doing those type of interview articles anymore." Drag Race Results
Looks as if they are following IHRA's lead to start firing the writers. No National Dragster soon? Jim .

Re: New National Dragster Coverage
Dear NHRA,
I really liked those interviews and coverage of Sportsman winners. I usually read them all and found the first person summary of the race from the winners perspective to be interesting. You have disappointed me (again) with your decision to cut this from the Dragster. There's really not much left. It used to be weekly, now it's every other. Just advertisements and all manner of coverage and interviews with the pros. "What's your favorite pizza toppings?" "What kind of car did you drive in high school" "Which Kardashian is your fav?" Probably OK for a fan, but it sucks for the sportsman racers and the people who care about those classes. This is supposed to be the news source for ALL of the association MEMBER'S - remember them? Not some fan rag about the "stars". Was that really the best place to cut and save a few bucks? You're making it harder all the time for people to care. |
