There is a difference!!! We still have not been paid by M/T for our win. In addition there is only one tire now that pays for class win ---- Goodyears from now on for us.

I was referring to the 9" mt on higher hp cars. All tires will go more runs on lower hp cars. Also, they tend to be not as sensitive to tire selection.

I am sure that this is a subject that has been talked about over and over but with today's technology I was curious if anyone has made any comparison run's to make a decision if there is any advantage to one of the MFG's - Thank's in advance for your input
I run the 9 inch lightweight hoosiers on my GT-TD dakota. Get new ones every other Atco Open, which is two complete seasons. 130-150 plus runs, never an issue. The rim and tire goes up on the wall as the emergency spares/need to go fast set. These are a 10 inch rim. Truck weighs 3500-50 lbs. And I do not do tire conserving burnouts either. If you go this route, the hoosier truck will be at the Epping divisional I think.

Walk the staging lanes when there is a good car count of stockers and see what the higher class cars are running. More Hoosiers than the other two brands combined. We've run the C0-6 lightweights for the past 7 or 8 years. They work and they last.

I get about 100 passes out of the M/T 30*9 radials on the Barracuda. Usually change them once every year, usually around the time of the Motorplex Divisional. The cords are usually showing and that's the only reason I change them. They were .04 faster than the Hoosier radials that were on the car when we got it.

Jacob, what size rim do you use with the M.T.'S, and what size rim did you use on the Hoosier's? Thanks, J.R.
