Thumbs up Tueton : Class of class racing

just a quick word here about something many sportsmen racers might not know. for over 50 years the Tueton Family has not only participated but promoted NHRA class racing in so many ways i am sure few could name them all. the Sportsman Racers Association, Hemi Shootouts, Top Stock, HEMI's since 1964, Factory Stock, Sportsnationals... hell he even took me on a couple of swamp tours.

they have not HAD to do any of this, they wanted everyone to have a chance to enjoy what they love, and a chance to compete. without saying everything they have done has always been first CLASS. it's hard not to have a good time when you are around camp southland

So Jeff and Joe, all your kids and southland family of employees...
I for one say THANK YOU !

the captain !

Correct Jack!! Great guys! If you don't know Jeff, next time you are at the same race, go introduce yourself. You find finer people. Even if he does have a fleet of Fiats.

Jeff is a great guy that I am glad to call my friend. We beat on each other all the time, but it's all in fun.

Talking Re: Tueton : Class of class racing

Jeff and I have talked and corresponded throughout the years, including years back when he was trying to create the SRA group.
I finally had the opportunity this past week to shake his hand, meet and chat with him.
All I can say is all those Bayou guys are great people!

Make no mistake. This group loves class racing and will go way out of their way to help other racers and it's all because they want to. Working for many years as a body shop manager at Howard Wilson Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge gave me an insight as to what kind of business people this group is also as we were in the same district and 20 groups. Southern hospitality at it's finest.

It's been years for me since I got the Cajun hospitality treatment but this couldn't be more true. In fact, the Teuton's are qualified on writing a book "how to have a good time at anything". I learned you must also sip your beer and eat your BBQ slowly around them otherwise you'll be passing them thru your nose from laughing so hard the entire time.
