It appears the the situation is that they run all of the classes. Of course, the fuel and Pro stock, plus, pro mod, motorcycles, alcohol cars and probably some jets.
They have lights and no curfew that I am aware of?????? No time for 10 more stockers.....

Me personally I still cannot understand any reason for the Lower entry list at Vegas? can anyone enlighten me with some factual information on why?

Don
I dealt with the same problem back in June for the Englishtown National Race.
They wouldn't add any more Stock or Super Stock Cars even though S/G only
had 45 out of a 65 car quota. And i'm not taking a shot at any S/G people.
It's a shot at NHRA for not allowing any more.
Englishtown like Vegas, i'm sure we can get 100 Stockers Every Year if they allowed it.
And Etown had the Factory Stock Shootout, so that kinda hurts the other stockers because of the car quota.

You guys all act like this caught you off guard. If you want to run National events then you need to earn 5-6 grading points per year and if your smart enough to enter when these dates come up for your grade you wont be locked out.
Why is this so hard, you all know NHRA could care less about this issue. The word on the street is all national events next year mins INDY are going to be limited to 60 car fields this way all sportsman classes will be 6 round or less, this will help NHRA save on time, staffing and the points issue east coast guys bring up all the time.

Don't worry there are more enhancements coming over the next 4 months.

In My opinion NHRA should open up more cars to enter Vegas for the following reason.
1. 100 more cars at say $400 per car is another $40,000. in income
2. 100 more cars means most likely Burton Smith Points race will have more cars at the points meet.
3.The Vegas Track can handle in the pits another 200 cars or more easy.
4. There is class for Stock and Super Stock.
5 There is appx only 30% of cars entered are from div 7.????
6. There will still be the exact same amount of filler rounds for the Pro show on Sunday.
7.NHRA should show a concern about their customers needs now in allowing more entries for if only for their Future.and let more cars in at least 25 more per eliminator equals 100 more cars .
8.make most of their paying customers happy
9. A business should never turn down more paying customers ever cause maybe some day those paying customers will not be back

Do you think that ratio would change if they made it where Factory Stock Shootout non qualified cars aren't eligible to then run in the eliminator?

I recall correctly IHRA had it set up where Top Stock cars qualified for 16 spots, so numbers 17 and up would be out.
T/STK cars wanting to run in Stock Eliminator had to be directly entered in Stock class like any other car, there was no cross over.
