Do you think that ratio would change if they made it where Factory Stock Shootout non qualified cars aren't eligible to then run in the eliminator?

I recall correctly IHRA had it set up where Top Stock cars qualified for 16 spots, so numbers 17 and up would be out.
T/STK cars wanting to run in Stock Eliminator had to be directly entered in Stock class like any other car, there was no cross over.

Cool Re: Come on NHRA raise the Vegas Stock Quota please

I live here in Glendora,Cal. I hear that word hurled around once in a while here, but I assure you, it's a delightfully nice place to live. It hasn't turned into a third world toilet like so much of So Cal. Here's the point. To acquire grade points, one must travel the following (closest to farthest)
1.Fontana LODRS-30 miles.
2.Vegas LODRS - 250 miles.
3.Phoenix LODRS-375 miles.
4.Infinion LODRS-520 miles.
5. Rocky Mountain Raceway LODRS-1000 miles,approx.
6.Tucson National Open-500 miles.
7.Fontana National Open-30 miles.
8.Sacramento National Open-420 miles.
9.Redding National Open-600 miles.
All these distances are one way. We are a rather far flung division. Which five races do you care to attend in order to go to Pomona (seven miles)twice and Vegas twice? If you have any intentions of pursuing the championship, that adds to the challenge, although winning it would be worth it.I guess we all have to spend our money wisely and, like the rest of life, choose our battles.

3.The Vegas Track can handle in the pits another 200 cars or more easy.
4. There is class for Stock and Super Stock.
5 There is appx only 30% of cars entered are from div 7.????
6. There will still be the exact same amount of filler rounds for the Pro show on Sunday.
7.NHRA should show a concern about their customers needs now in allowing more entries for if only for their Future.and let more cars in at least 25 more per eliminator equals 100 more cars .
8.make most of their paying customers happy
9. A business should never turn down more paying customers ever cause maybe some day those paying customers will not be back
Don, you left this one out........
Numero UNO, Don Kennedy should have gone to one more points race or national open in order to race at VEGAS.....Is your CRUSADE really FAIR to the boys that got shut out at the Maple Grove or E Town races....???

Good point I normally go to enough Points meets to get in but broke a Motor missed the next points meets then had an issue with the motor on the dyno , then I had a major meeting with a huge client of mine after that there were no more points meets to go to within 2000 miles now You know the rest of the story lol
by the way I did not get the memo that the entry quota was going to be less this year than last year ,darn My fault

if only we had more Race tracks out west then just about all racers on the West coast could get in ,instead of only 30% of div 7 racers at the National event this year ,
yes my CRUSADE is fair to the West Coast Racers to race in their Own Division national event, that is why there are events all over the US for the racers in each division to go to

Why is this so hard, you all know NHRA could care less about this issue. The word on the street is all national events next year mins INDY are going to be limited to 60 car fields this way all sportsman classes will be 6 round or less, this will help NHRA save on time, staffing and the points issue east coast guys bring up all the time.

Don't worry there are more enhancements coming over the next 4 months.
Like a lot more three day events.

Coming from where I used to live (Denver, Co.), although I still feel D's 1-4 have it the best of the 7 Divisions, I strongly feel D5 has it the worst for long tows to Divisionals. (I'm not counting National Opens, because they don't offer seasonal championship points, or contingency money. I would much rather race out of the Phoenix area, than from Denver which is why I was able to get 5 grade points last year.
