Default Goodyear Tires

Anyone running the 2019 Goodyear in SS?
Do they come close to the specs listed?
Good life in a 3400 car?

Adger, I am considering the same decision. My Lamplighter project will be about 3100 pounds and around 725 horse with expected ET 5.90's range. I am interested in the feedback also.

Larry, the problem I have is the tire height that will fit my car.
I know 14 X 32 on a 14" rim is too tall to even go under the car. (front hits)
I use a 1702 GY way back before they were discontinued. they were 14.5 wide and 96 1/4 roll out with stiff sidewalls.
I parked everything in 2010 and the set I have are not even good for doorstops.
I need between a 96 and 97 in roll out.
Don't see any good radials in that size.
Looks like I might be stuck with a bias tire again.
My car will start off at about 3400 lbs and then move to a 3175 lb class weight when the drivers license is taken care of.
I was real happy with the GY's. I put a lot of passes on 2 sets.
Larry if you get any private feed back I'm interested.

Adger, are you building the Quay Camaro you have had for a while? If so, what class and what equipment?

Larry,
I still have the Quay car and finishing it is on hold.
I'm putting the "Red" Gen 3 back together with the V-6
Probably run SS/CX @ 3400 lbs and SS/BX in the 3,000 lb area.
Car is built over weight for SS/BX by more than 100 lbs.
That (weight) is the reason I bought the Quay car project.. Less weight..
If my health doesn't improve a bunch someone might have to finish it.

Nickh
Yes, I have a set of Pheonix that were supposed to fit, but didn't.
The car was built a long time ago for a short tire.
• Brand: Phoenix
• Product Size: 13.0/31.0-15
• SKU: PH379
• GTIN UPC: 00842199101164
• Rim Diameter: 15
• Tread Width: 13.40
• Section Width (Actual): 15.00
• Overall Diameter: 30.60
• Circumference: 96"
• Recommended Rim Width: 12.00
I've been looking at these Hoosiers, but didn't want to buy another set that didn't fit.
18240 Hoosier 31. X 14.5 14" tread 31.2 cir 98" roll out 12-14 rim 16.5 section D05 compound
It is a shame I can't find a radial that size. They seem to be bigger or smaller. It would be nice if MT had a Pro Bracket radial between 94" and 100" and wider than 10"
I liked the stiff sidewall GY. The car was always hard on them @3400 and they worked well. The weight and tons of gear it take is a tire killer. It was always a fine balance of air pressure and converter hit. Really a shame GY quit that tire... Progress, Is that what they call it?? lol
