Default Reviving TriState/East Coast Drag Racing Series.

Just raced at the Mason Dixon Weekend Stock/SuperStock Meet. It was a great weekend.

Thank you to Harry Huntzberry and Mike Bassin to getting them scheduled. Had a conversation with Harry about reviving a East Coast/Tri State Series.

We shared a few ideas.
I run the ECIRS Series - East Coast Impala Racing Series. Most of our races are Division 1 tracks. We have about 12 races and some tracks allow us to run twice on same day. Getting in a lot of runs.

Wanted to find what ideas you have and who wanted to help.
Do stuff we wish NHRA would do.

Suggested Tracks!!!
Maryland Tracks:
Mason Dixon, Cecil County, Capitol, MIR
Pennsylvania:
Beaver Springs, Numidia, Maple Grove, Island Dragway
VIrginia:
Virginia Motorsports Park

Would like to lock in dates for 3-4 years.
Can schedule 2 or more race dates with one track.

Wanted to make improvements.
Such as having Heads Up Grudge races.
Any 2 cars any 2 classes. Side betting fine.
Grudge Race between to classes running off the Indexes.
Setting Track Records at each of the Tracks.

Develop a Point Program.
Team up with CCRA at VMP for a Challenge Race.

Work Social Media and Newspapers to bring in specators.
Parts Trade Buy and Sell.

What do you think?
Post your feedback.

Good morning Dan,
Would you be interested in running a Stock/ Super Stock Race at a nice 1/8 mile facility?
South Mountain Raceway would like to get a race together for there track.
The track is located in Boiling Springs Pa., and Mike works extra hard to make sure the traction is top notch. If you would like to PM me I'd be more then glad to try to get something going with you and your Group.
They are a NHRA Sanctioned facility.

Respectfully,
Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA

I think before another series takes over the Northeast tracks, it would be nice to see what is going happen with the East Coast Stock Super Stock Association. Dave's races were run very well and pretty well attended at Atco, and I am hoping the series will still go on even with the loss of Atco.
I've heard some rumors about the series continuing, but I have no idea if it was just water cooler talk.
Now that there are schedules out, maybe there will be announcement on the direction of the ECSSA series.

Who won Mason/Dixon on the 5th? First time I wasn’t there in a number of years.

Herbie Null driving one of Troy Huntzberry's SS Camaro's went red against Larry Mohar in his stocker.

Good afternoon Duane and to all,
I agree with you wholeheartedly, this was something Mountain Mike would like to add. I'm not a promoter, just a racer but Mikes a Great guy and would like to have a Stock/ Super Stock race at his track. Not trying to shuffle off Dave Ley, in fact if Dave would like to contact me or Mike that would be fine also. I enjoyed racing at Dave's races and look forward to any other races that Dave would put together. But at the same time I feel compelled to try to do something for us Stock / Super Stock racers and with Mike voicing an interest in having a race at his track , I think it might be in all of our interests to persue that end. In fact feel free to contact me also, Duane anytime Doug has my cell number.
I would very much like to see something positive happen here for our future.

Respectfully,
Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA

This is a good idea.
Be glad to help.

See if we can expand this conversation.
Need to contact Dave Ley and get his feedback.
Cecil would be a good solution.

Other tracks should be encouraged to schedule a date.
Just bring it up and lets talk.

Mountain Mike email me at danfahey@dansources.com

My friend Dave Ley must be a part of this conversation respective of his leadership to the ECSSSA.

Good morning to all,
Absolutely agreed on Dave being a part of this conversation.
I did reach out to Dave and he instructed me he would make a decision sometime at the end of this year or early next year.
