Default Houston National Event Schedule?

I just looked at the event schedule and was surprised to find that stacking and parking is scheduled for Thursday. The real surprise was 8 AM Friday Sportsman qualifying 1 PM Friday Sportsman eliminations.
What?
One hit at the track and directly into eliminations?
Can that be right?
I have not raced at Houston since the 1990's when it rained and there was feet of water in the pits.
I was considering going this year again however, if the schedule posted is correct I am having second thoughts.
Does anyone know if the schedule posted is correct?

You have to wait for the run schedule. I am sure what you'll see is 3 runs scheduled before 1PM. If everything goes smoothly it could happen. If it doesn't happen and you get only one or two hits thats the way it goes in todays world. 1st rd will begin at 1PM. I am expecting the same thing at the 4 wide in NC.

I’m pretty sure you will get 2 time trials on Friday and then first round on Friday. Thanks NHRA

If I remember correctly, they had the same schedule last year (when they had the spring race in the fall, lol). They had "live" TV coverage on FOX on Sunday and they wanted to make darn sure there wasn't sportsman cars clouding up the schedule or blocking access and return roads, etc., etc.
Totally not necessary to start eliminations on Friday. Simply start sportsman early on Sat. and bring them back up after the pro's on Sat.. Add another session on Sun. am for the Sportsman qtrs. And then, if warranted, conclude them after the pros on Sun.
