Default 2010 CJ 428 small block info???

Wondering if anyone is running or has information on the M-6007-428CJ Cobra Jet 428 engine. NOT the big block from the 60-70's The engine that was created for the 2010 CJ from a Boss 351 block. I found the blue print specs on the engine. But I still need more info on the valvetrain. I know it's a solid roller and has .589/.589 lift but that's it. Wondering if its a Comp grind since they did the cam for the 427 crate engine.

You will have to get a custom ground cam made with the only NHRA spec being the lift. Anything else goes.

As far as I know, Ford never made those crate engines. They made a list of part numbers of stuff in their Racing catalog and submitted the list to NHRA. The complete engines never existed. Each racer has to build their own.

so then I need to go back to the NHRA site and find the NHRA approved pistons, rods, etc. or do I use the printed NHRA specs and go from there "interpreting" the rules not specifically listed?

Yes, you have to use the NHRA approved products list and the blueprint guide. You're also going to have to find out what rocker arms are on it, I did not see them listed, and since it is a "crate engine" that never actually existed, it is not like you can just look it up in a catalog. If you have ANY question, email tech in Glendora, and get the answer in writing, print it out, and keep it with the car. In fact, you might want to just go ahead and email Glendora, and get a list of what parts are correct and legal for that engine.
