Default Converting a 68 camaro to a stocker

I have a 68 camaro that is tubed with leaf springs and ladder bars and am considering changing it back so I can run it in stock. Has anyone had any experience with doing this. Wondering how hard it will be. Also what are some recommendations in running a 350 combination?

Thanks Chris

If the factory frame rails are still there it shouldnt be a problem. They sell all the trunk/wheelhouse/shock bracket mounts to put it all back....just cut and paste like nothing ever happened. My camaro had some goofy shock brackets when I got it and I bought all the pieces to fix it and make it look stock again.

Dan Fletcher's stocker was once a Super Stock style car.

You'll have to cut the entire floor pan out where it was modified, and return it to stock, you'll have to remove the ladder bar cross member as well. It's a ton of work.

You might be better off to find another car.

There's only one 350 for a 68 Camaro, the 295 horse version, rated at 290 in Stock. If I were going to run that combination, I'd run it with a 4 speed.
