Default piston lock rings?

i need a set [16 or more] of tru-arc piston pin lock rings. these are the type which use the snap ring pliers. TRW used to sell them [LR-54], however when FM bought them out, now they only sell spiral locks. of the several piston mfg'ers i contacted they all sell only spiral locks. neither of the auto suppliers sell them here.

these are for a std. sbc ..927 pin.
somebody is this great big country must sell them.
any help will be appreciated.

thanks rod in AZ

Rod,

Will these work?

My Lunati pistons use this same pin lock.

Good Luck!

Rod,
Do you have one of the original Tru Arc lock rings. TRW used several different thickness rings in the .927 diameter. If they are the .042 thick there are spiral locks that are a single that make a good up grade replacement. If they are the double .042 you can use a double spiral lock as an upgrade.
I think there is a F/M number that supercedes the TRW number. When I get back to the shop in a couple of days I'll check it out for you.. It is my opinion that the spiral locks are always better than Tru Arcs and should be used if possible. The only negative is the blood you shed taking spital locks out. Tru arcs are just easier to install and remove.
