Default Re: older Holley intake manifold ?

About ten years ago I was on the dyno with my 327 stocker trying different things and wanted to see how bad the stock intake was. Everyone in the shop was amazed that the old 300-2 was worth 45 hp over the stock gm 397 corvette one.

This is a page from the 1979 Holley catalog with the 300-2 vs the 300-25.
I bought a 300-2 in 1977, and a 300-25 a little while after that, running them both on a 350 SBC.
I couldn't tell much of a difference between them,
but then again there were no 60ft lights at the track then.
