Default Help I may have just allowed my Crank to be ruined

Not even thinking about it or really even knowing it was possible. I did not do my research on whats allowable when balancing a crank. With that said.

Is it legal to internally balance a crank that was externally balanced from the factory in stock? The rule book just talks about normal balance job and lightening parts. It does not address this particular situation.

Thanks
Rob

Yes, it's okay to internally balance the crank.

Rob, make sure you buy a neutral balance dampener and flex plate. Seems like the LT1 dampener is? Been so long since I've seen factory pieces.....

I got the ATI balancer, machinist got me a new SFI flex plate. I noticed the weight missing and asked him about it. That's when he told me how it was balanced. And first thought I had was "oh hell I'm not sure if that's legal". LOL.
Thanks for the replies. I will sleep much better now
