Re: Another bogus new car in the guide!
The shell, doors, and front fenders are the same. The deck lid, fascias, lights, inner fenders, and hood are different. There are a bunch of small parts too. Chevrolet gave away some kits in 2014. It is a pretty easy swap. About a days work.

Re: Another bogus new car in the guide!
What I don't get here is some guys play the sandbagging game for a couple years to get up off and everyone thinks they are genius.
This guy works just as hard to get this combo added and really hard to get it built and he's cheating somehow or in cohorts with the GM brass. My opinion is they both played by the same rules set forth by NHRA and got what they wanted. Alot of time, money and effort to get this done, me personally I don't see nothing wrong with either example and look forward to seeing the new car. Ofcourse I don't run B/SA either. Oh and if I'm not mistaken he can run the same rear end as the COPO has since it an approved NHRA replacement part.

Re: Another bogus new car in the guide!
At the time that I started building this I was told no nine inch by the NHRA. I am not sure what their position is now that there is a COPO with a nine inch.

Re: Another bogus new car in the guide!
I could be wrong but I think the pink challenger has the same rear end as the Dragpak.

The pink challenger has the NHRA approved rear end.

Re: Another bogus new car in the guide!
So, if you can run copo rear end set up in regular stock with 12 bolt, I think they need to change the rule book, Coil-over shocks or four-link adaptations prohibited in regular stock and stock trailing arms must be retained, per rule book.

Re: Another bogus new car in the guide!
Then here is an idea, if your going to run your dragpak, copo, cobra jet in regular stock eliminator then first show the Vin#, then follow the rest of the rules that the rest of us have to follow. Witch means no 9in rears unless it's a ford, no power glides unless it's a chevy, and no four link rear ends there's a start and I'm sure there's a lot more!!!
