Re: Vegas stock entry needed
Hope you get in Mike. I know what you mean. I went on to sign in and it was filled with 7 grade points. A lot of us here in Vegas didn't make it in either. Sad for us good for others. Every division is represented at this race like normal. This track has more pit space than any track I know. No curfew, no weather problems but no cars. Oh well. They surely won't get me there spectating either. It also tells me its time to say goodbye to this sport.

Re: Vegas stock entry needed
When I lived out west I discussed this issue at great length with Jeff Foster, Of course, he wanted more cars at the national event he makes more profit but NHRA has many issues to fulfill to satisfy many paying sponsors such as Live TV plus at that time NHRA wanted to interview with the winners, as well as the Winner circle being on the starting line at that time It is just not fair to the racers out west by the way there are not many drag strips left for national events /All Racers, need to Move to TN lots of tracks >Bowling Green has 5 Stock and Super Stock races a year with the purse of $2,000 the Starting line is 39 and a half minutes at 75 mph from my House has Teeth all, of the time

Re: Vegas stock entry needed
Mike, I hope you make it in. You belong there. Can't believe that a track with that much room has a quota (thanks NHRA). I've never been there, but my friends that have say LOTS of room the only problem is wind. Maybe more association races are needed.
At the newly formed North West Class Racers Association races this year the payout for each race was $2,000 winner and $1,000 R/U. A little less if non-member. Everyone had a great time and no quotas, no AHFS and no heads-up. Sorry to hijack this thread, just trying to help people have options to race. Think about it - -racing , fun and more money at each event. What's not to like. Look under Stock and Super Stock Associations on this site for more info.

Re: Vegas stock entry needed
We pay to race a Championship yet lately the out west schedules has been messed up. We have 3 division races left but those grade points are now useless for this year. The National races out here are full. Of course there are folks that enter and wait to the last second to get out so those that want to race have to fight like dogs for a scrap of meat. I'm so over it the chance I want to go to Bakersfield got shot down. I wrote an E-Mail to NHRA asking what they do for 50 year members that has paid their way without a Gold cards or anything else for all these years. Crickets!

Hope you get in Mike. I’ve always said provisional entries should not count against the quota.

Re: Vegas stock entry needed
Obviously I would love to be there too. I travel with Earl Blake and he was the one that broke the news to me it filled with 7 grade points. We'll spectate together from the cheap seats. Paul

Re: Vegas stock entry needed
Discouraging to see them slowly decrease the quotas over time, especially for you folks out west with venues disappearing. Have to wonder when Pomona will disappear. Don Kennedy’s rationale for moving East makes a lot of sense if you can swing it.
