Robin, I see it listed on the Strange web site. Do you have any personal experience as to the adjustability and suitability for door car drag racing? Specifically, controlling the bounce after wheelie.

If you want a good strut to control the bounce after the wheel stand you need Santhuff.
I changed my super stocker from strange to Santhuff over the winter.

Santhuff or Afco. Let me know if you have any questions that I can help you with.

If I remember right it is Larry going off of memory hope I am correct. What is your engine tranny combo, what ET. How about them wheelies. Is it stock rear suspension. I run strange double adjustables on my stocker. Fastest I have run is 11.50s. I think the question is where is the line in the sand on ET where you would need something better then the strange like a santuff. I would think that would be mid 10.00s and carrying the fronts out about to the 60ft.

On my previous Fox body Mustangs I have used Santuff and Strange. The Santuff's were internally limited travel and worked well. They were very expensive and I was lucky that a friend had them new and sold them to me. I was able to avoid the huge wait time.

I currently have Strange double adjustable on my 13 Stocker. I have had very good luck with them and only issues with bounce is if the gear change coincides with when the tires come back down.
I had Strange on the rears and have tried Afco's that worked the same as my Strange rear double adjustable shocks. At the recommendation of Rick and Ricky Jones I had the Strange dyno'd and re valved by Strange. That solved an issue that I had with stiffness.
There are a ton of great companies out there doing shocks and struts. Line up with someone that knows your type of car and is able to re valve in a timely manner. Strange is one day or 3 hours driving away from me. Makes it very easy to get done in a week or so.

Just an FYL, after years of running their Brakes, Axles, Rear end components and Shocks and Struts I have worked out a support program with Strange. So, I am a little biased.

Thanks to all for the comments. The following photo will show what I have in mind. I titled the post Mustang strut because it is a Fox platform and uses the same strut as a Mustang. It an 88 Thunderbird that I am considering building as a fast bracket package. Work on this car began years ago but it fell on hard times. I am considering reviving it.

I have the AFCO big gun DA struts on my 84 foxbody. Out of the box they were terrible for my car and not soft enough. I sent them to Randy Mans (FastShocks) and they have been fantastic after Randy did his magic. Give him a call before purchasing anything.
