Full Face Helmets??
Which full face helmets have the best viewing/biggest opening? I have always been an open face helmet guy but now looks like I will be needing a full face one. I do wear glasses also. Thanks.

I wear glasses and have a HJC helmet . Must put on my glasses after I put on my helmet , so when you are checking out a new helmet , make sure you can get your glasses arms in and over your ears . Also be aware your class may not need a visor .

Re: Full Face Helmets??
The only thing I noted when I used a HJC helmet was the part in front below the opening was projected a lot like a dirt bike/ATV helmet and I never really cared for that look. No problem with glasses with my G-Force helmet.

Re: Full Face Helmets??
I do the same. Put the helmet on then glasses after the helmet. The last few pair of glasses that I have purchased have had the straight temples. They are way more comfortable than the temples that curve behind the ear and are easier to deal with in the helmet. I also wear hearing aids the straight temples work good with that issue also. I take my hearing aids off just before the helmet goes on.

Re: Full Face Helmets??
Jim- An added bonus to a closed face helmet is that it takes out a lot of peripheral vision out, eliminating a lot of distraction and improving concentration. I wouldn't go back to an open face just for that reason.

Re: Full Face Helmets??
Simpson Bandit Full Face Carbon Fiber.
Lightweight and great opening for those that wear glasses. Yes, expensive because it is made of Carbon Fiber material and also made in the USA. In the event of an accident, you do not have a heavy helmet making your head act like a pendulum during impact. |
