Default How about buy-backs in stock and super stock

Before anyone cries out sacrilege or let's burn him at a stake, I have to say with the dwindling of cars at events this might be worth while looking into this type of multiplying cars at the events. All first round runner up would have to run the same, I personally think that this might help. Now think about it… mmmmmm a second chance to rectify that last run. Something to think about.Claude

One of the local tracks has buy backs. I don't mind but I think it should be for a losers bracket. I said that. Losers bracket. A chance to be the best runner up.

I sure hope you are wearing some sort of fire proof suit because dude you are going to get burned here....LOL

Stocker racers don't buy into things like buybacks.....and car counts in Stock are usually the highest of all categories so your way off base here....

and although SS has lower car counts I would predict they are even more opposed to buybacks.......

If you asked the super class index racers, most would be in favor of buy backs. Stock and SS racers, a very different breed, and in my opinion, very much against buy backs. That being said, I am sure the responses here will be very interesting to say the least...........................

No to buybacks. If it were a 'second chance' race, for all first round and/or second losers for an extra shot at money in their own race, I would be OK with it. But, not putting them back into the next round of the main race. Leave that for local bracket racing.

This poses an interesting question. Since "buy-backs" are a money making proposition for the promoters, It's amazing that NHRA hasn't already started doing this................

Not me....I hate buybacks....but I am old school....you lose your out....

The only reason for buybacks is to pump up the purse or help the track meet expenses.....I have never bought back even at my local track when bracket racing.....

Consolation race yes sure why not....buybacks no....

I would drive across the country, go out 1st round, and still not want a buy back.
