Default '65 Chevelle tunnel clearance

?#1&2..With a big block/PG combo,(in stock location) using a typical bolt-on tranny shield, will that clear a stock, original floorpan? Or am I gonna be the proud owner of a new Reid case?

?#3.. Did Chevy change the contours of the tunnel starting in 1967 when the TH 400 became avaiable behind the 396?

#4 Anyone know of an SFI approved 153 tooth flexplate for an externally balanced, 2-piece rear main BBC? My JW UltraBell doesn't seem to want to clear the 168 tooth flexplate. Anyone else experienced this?

Any help will be truly appreciated.

Hi-When I was racing my '64 Chevelle wagon I tried to fit a TCI shield on my PG-I could not make it work. Doug Schriener

Thanks Doug. That's what I was afraid of.

Anyone else?
