Re: Another street combination added to the guide
Greg, you don't race, but I know you like music, when you refer to the grapevine, are you talking about the California raisins or Dee?
I very surprised you had time to talk about this issue with the DNC going on this week. I hear through the grapevine you and Bruce Noland had front row seats (that were free of course). I do find it funny that one Bitches about a combo when there combo is just as soft as the 2000's LS1 Corvette (which is also super soft). Just remember boys and girls Make America Great Again

Re: Another street combination added to the guide
I find it comical that you folks attack me and don't ever address the underlying problem of allowing these bogus horsepower ratings and shipping weights. Charlie I raced for more than 30 years and still work on Andrew's car and haul it around for him and contribute a little financially.

Re: Another street combination added to the guide
Greg are these new bogus hp any worse then these old combos
1980s turbo mustang and thunder bird -1.70 plus under combo 1980s 350 C-10 was a -2.00 under ride to start Late 70's 302 mustang /comet. -1.75 under I forgot your only concerned with combos that affect you. I guess you can either deal with it or go race NMCA and NMRA. I think one of them have nostalgia SS, I think that class fits your style better. Don't forget Make America Great Again

The shipping weights had to be adjusted for the new cars. You can't legally get them heavy enough to make the weights that some want. That is, once you remove everything that isn't required by the rules. I really don't see how a change to this would make a qualifying difference. I would rather run in A/B/C over a slower class. I guarantee that it will be easier on parts. As an FYI. I purchased a zero option 2012 Camaro SS just to prove that the published 2010 specification submitted by Chevrolet was wrong. Note that the automatic SS was factory rated at 400 HP. So, if you look at the reduction it got from that perspective, Andrew's Camaro got the same break that I did. I am not mad at him for that....... |

When somebody goes 1.40+ under with my combo, I'll believe it's as soft as the LS1 Vettes/GTOs, but until then, I'll just work to be as close as I can.

Re: Another street combination added to the guide
Your correct I did get two reductions for the 281 cobra jet superstock combo. Even at 226 hp its a dead player in superstocker.
It also only fits one superstock class with a 11.00 index. The fastest anyone's gone to my knowledge is 10.20s in killer air. The only advantage for NA newer cars in Superstock is a little bigger piston and a little bigger cam. There's min gain in the top haft unlike a pre 2008 combo. George wright can tell you how good that combo is in superstock . He has a true superstock eng in the probe and only makes a few more ponys then the one in my stocker. And runs 4-5 tenths under. Your collage educated next time do your homework. How fast were you in BG in **** air?

Re: Another street combination added to the guide
Greg I don't think 2 MPH is a 2 tenths difference.
maybe .04-.06
