Default U/SA Race

I will be honored to be able to put my Maverick on the starting line against my peers. There is only one caveat, the winner and runner-up must go through certification.

My car has been through three certifications. Two were legal and one was bounced because of having my head up my *** I got tossed for a head gasket that was .009 not thick enough.

Integrity is much more important than winning or going fast.

Any comments.

Sarge
Sarge, I agree with you completely! BUT ya know, this is the 21ST Century. Words like "Integrity" don't have much meaning anymore.

Integrity never changes. When we stop valuing what is good, good becomes rare and we all suffer.

Not doubting the legality of your Maverick, but it was NHRA's integrity that put the Ford 302 into U/SA
I gots no problem with teardown.
Tech is a lot easier now that we can do it.

On the back of the car I'm driving this weekend. It set records about 10 yrs in a row. Teardown was a normal deal at divisionals. Most of the records came with instant HP many years ago too. That's why you had to keep tearing it down to get back in the record book every other race. If I remember. I was usually to dirty for anyone to invite me to dinner too.STILL!

Paul H, You can come to dinner at "The Lost Vegas" anytime. And you don't have to set the record to come.

What ever happens at The Lost Vegas, happens and can't be remembered.

Talking Re: U/SA Race

sarge >> when someone kicks your *** THEN is the appropriate time to suggest they go to the barn .... bitchin in advance is considered unsportsmanlike

and if it happens to be me rest assured i aint been tossed since 1988 (duration rule i was the last guy ever tossed on duration) and since then have set 14 records and have 13 wallys ive torn down so often at indy i know where all the outlets are located.

no one seems to be able to commit to a location for a USA shootout so i guess itll be me and you at columbus and or indy ....unless marty buth gets his done.

Hi Jack, Miss you out here my friend. You know me by now I'm a glutton for punishment. Some toys need more loving. Maybe I can pick it up this week.

I hate to admit I have been working harder on this car than most trying to locate the switch that reels in the achor.Busting my chops for sure. I just want to torture some low 9 second competitors.
