Mclay 200 tail shaft seal question
I was doing a little bracket racing over the weekend when one of the track guys came to me and said I was "spraying " fluid on the track @ launch for about 60' the only thing I can find is what apppears to be tranny fluid around the area of tail shaft. My question is does Mclay take a special seal and what should I be looking for? I doubt I can walk in the nearest AutoZone and get it.

Re: Mclay 200 tail shaft seal question
check the vent. on the 200's the vent is toward the rear and is more susceptible to leaking fluid. I put a catch can on mine

Isn't that vent tube supposed to go to a catch can?

Re: Mclay 200 tail shaft seal question
I've never seen a catch can on a trans Ed. Had it explained to me there is another method to dump it right back into the transmission...at any rate this has never leaked a drop.
