We had more C/SM cars in class at Indy than in SS eliminator at many races today. Guys that liked to write big checks were no faster than guys with a clue what they were doing. You can hide more work in aluminium heads than iron. With the 1970s C/SM head rules there was no reason to send anything to Brodix, or anybody else, for verication.
Ed they can hide the grinding acid in stk why wouldnd they do it in this class?

They could simply put a port CC limit on them, like in SS now. Some of the Stocker heads I have seen make me think somebody is not looking real hard, or aren't that familiar with some of these castings. If you know cylinder heads well enough to know where to look.... Wesley knows cylinder heads well enough, I'm not so sure a lot of these would get past him.
