Heartland S/SS pictures from Memorial Day races
In between working on my car I was able to take a few pictures of the racers who attended the two races at Earlville, IA over the weekend. As usual, the track staff at TriState Raceway was great, the food was great and I think everyone had a great time.
Saturday runner up and Sunday winner Rob Turkal Saturday winner Logan Wernet Number 1 qualifier both days and Sunday runner up Bill Dyer

Jason Shepherd put his first full passes on his Dad Randy's A/S stocker. He ran within a .01 of his Dad's best pass - good job Jason!
Jamie Duke Don Duke - SS/G - no more automatic trans for this racer! Dean Mesinbring Sean Kruse

Just one more shot I missed from earlier today. I was too busy chasing electrical gremlins in my Chevy II to get more.
The other less well known drag racer Greg Anderson in his M/SA 69 Camaro.

Neat combo but before he goes to an NHRA race with it he had better lose the hood!

Speaking of neat combos, Joe, what's the story on that Fairmont?

Billy I thought that the cowll induction hood was an option for all V8's in 1969.

Re: Heartland S/SS pictures from Memorial Day races
Nope, 4V only and before I get spanked by any hardcore Camaro freaks, NHRA accepts it on any 4V combo. It was originally an SS option which would mean that it had to be at least a 300 HP 350 combo. NHRA allowed it on 255 HP combos later.

He's been running that car at NHRA divisional and nationals for a long time. He was at the Indy divisional this year.
