Entry Fees for 2009
Anyone heard anything about entry fees for Div 1 races this year...going up or staying the same ?
With everything else I wouldnt be surprised to see an increase... Another reason to race "elsewhere"...$170 to enter to win 2500 or so...

Re: Entry Fees for 2009
Dave,
I'm down in Florida Racing in Div 2 and last week I paid $170 in Bradenton and today I paid $160 for Gainesville, Looks like no help from NHRA for the Sportsman Racers.

Yep....For most guys I dont think you're gonna get much more for a Div win...maybe 3K at best, especially today with so many sponsers dropping out or you having to have purchased within the last few years...

Re: Entry Fees for 2009
It is for these reasons seems more and more racers are turning to either a local heads up series, or traveling but for the big $$$ bracket races.
I know for me, I can run a few divisionals close to home, but still cost well over $800. for the weekend. Another issue I have is with the div. schedule itself, I work as a substitute teacher, and get considerably less than a low paid teacher does. Here in Div. 2 there are 4 races inside of 7 weeks, then throw in the Gators, and the Sportsnationals. I have to work and save all year just to race for a little over 2 months.

Re: Entry Fees for 2009
Another reason I went to Alcohol...140 a drum..ok so I use twice as much..that means 280 compared to how much for a drum of C12 at 11 bucks a gallon ? Close to 600 ? Not to mention the other benefits..
