Stocker replacement rods
My question, can we use a floating pin if the engine came with pressed pins? I'm thinking no but... I have a new set of Eagles and was hoping I could use them.

Re: Stocker replacement rods
Yes you can use floating pins. Bigger question - are the rods on the approved list?

I purchased them with a maybe, dude said they where Eagles, h-beam, no markings that I've seen, but not used at least. The pistons I have are correct but no clip groves, are they allowed to be cut? If this gets to much I'll use the stock ly rods. I see no reason they won't last at 5500 tp 6000 rpm. |

Re: Stocker replacement rods
Careful, Eagle rods are all marked. Lots of Chinese crap copies out there.

Re: Stocker replacement rods
We run LY rods with good bolts to 6800 regularly and have for 40 years. They are a lot better than some of the Junk out there! We do prefer Eagle and Manley stuff in higher budget builds.

Re: Stocker replacement rods
If that's a 440 wedge, here is the only Eagle rod listed for it in the NHRA parts guide.
EAGLE B.E. 2.500 S.E. 1.094 Length 6.760 Wgt 875 CRS6760C3D 413/426/440 Mopar I run an Eagle crank. If it isn't stamped with their logo and part number, it's not an Eagle.
