Default Cam I.D. help needed

Anyone know the specs of the following cam? It's an older SBC Super Stock cam.

Comp Cams 4484/312-8 R6
Grind number R 7305

Comp was no help. Thanks in advance.

Don't know what you are looking for. This is from an older Comp Cams Master List I have.

Stan had the intake correct, high ratio, high RPM Super stock, using 1.8 - 2.0 rocker.

The 312-8 is a High torque .440 lobe, 312 adv., 284 @.050, 1.5 through 1.7 rocker ratio.
And you probably know it was ground on a 106 lobe separation.

No, I don't have any idea on lash settings. But remember lash will depend / change based on what rocker arm ratio you are using.

Stan

PS - I found this. It might be a good starting point

I went through the Master Lobe Catalogue and came up with the same as Stan The side bar mentions .020. Try that. My 302 Ford with a Crane 448511 cam.254/262 with .599 lift lashes at .020 hot. Sounds like my stick is a lot like yours. Just Blue

Terry

The valve lash * new rocker arm ratio / old rocker arm ratio.

► .020" * 1.7 / 1.6 = 0.02125"

Wallace Racing has a calculator for lash change with rocker change.
