Re: Original hemi dart information
[QUOTE=Paul Ceasrine;242224]Rory,
Not sure,,,,,,,,,but his nephew has a bunch of photo's. And it was classed in SS/BA, so it had to be before 1970. Before the Street/Hemi Cuda 'Old Trapper'. The "Old Trapper" name was used on various MoPar S/S cars before the 70 Street Hemi car. I remember a 67 Hemi Belvedere, as well as at least 2 SS/AA cars, all with the same yellow & brown paint with log lettering. That may have been before Dick Panter was a driver , I think the main "Old Trapper" driver at the time was Albert Brabham (sp?). I`m not sure if car owner Jim Ronnigan(sp?) ever drove any of the cars. As far as I know, the "Old Trapper" 70 Cuda SS/DA-EA is still owned by Rod Hanner of Alberta, and still has "Trapmate" lettered on the sides.

Speaking of Hemi Barracudas, how's this for a rare shot? First time I've seen Archambault's car as a S/S and with a different paint job! M68 |

Re: Original hemi dart information
M68,
Charlie's car hiding behind Ed Miller's car. Yep, the first one,,,,,,,,that must be a summer 68' photo. I wonder if that was at New York National August 68'. On Dick Panter, there is a photo on another site. try,,,,,,,,,Dick Panter, Hemi Dart, Saskatoon. Never saw that Check Mate car,,,,,,,looks like 1970 and later photo. Who and where did he get that car from???????? Oh, Diego Wiley Cossey was also sponsored by Casler Racing Tires. |
