Default Custom Piston Manufacturer

Engine builders, who is your pick for light weight, strutted skirt pistons?

Does any brand stand out for design, uniformity, weight and size accuracy, service, etc.?

My most recent experience is with REBCO machine in Kansas. A very nice and easy to work with man. Very experienced. He buys Bill Miller Forgings per the need and does the required finish machining.

I have had satisfactory or better results with JE, CP, Wiseco, and RaceTec. All have treated me very well over the years.

It seems all manufacturers go thru cycles of manufacturing and quality issues .
Recently my best experiences have been with JE and Wiseco .
Ring groove sizing has been very good on both and no cracking issues either ,although my usage is limited to mostly BBC stuff.
My big disappointment is Diamond . ....I've experienced several of cracked domes and pin bosses when I was using them. ......All with relative few runs.

Have used CP for years. A couple months ago I was able to tour the facility at Gibtec and they do some really nice stuff there. A buddy of mine in Denver has used them for a number of builds. We will be using them on our next one too. Call Ron Giebas there and I'm sure he can fix you up 303-243-3340
