Re: Top Stock part 1
When we ran it, it was 8.25# per NHRA factored HP, it was acceptable to remove the passenger seat, so that some cars, such as lower class small block cars, could make weight. That was rules borrowed directly from Dave Ley in Division 1, and the original, pre crate motor IHRA deal, according to what I was told. The orange Camaro Kevin Cradduck and I ran had actually been part of the class in both Division 1 and IHRA, pre crate motor. We put on a Top Stock and Top Super Stock class at the SportsNational Open at Bowling Green a couple times. Woodro Josey won the first Top Stock race, and I think Kenny Schindler won Top Super Stock.

Alan, Tim and I ran it at Indy 2009 and yes it was 8.25#, had a blast. It was at the season ending Open, love to do it again if enough interest.

That’s Cordova. Guessing very early 2000s. I believe I was there in 2001 and 2002, and this was happening at that time.

Re: Top Stock part 1
Other way around. Track is in Illinois, just across the Mississippi from Iowa.

It would only be possible at Opens and similar races. We never got support to run it at LODRS races. At one time, Dave Ley had full fields in Division 1. We're currently parked, indefinitely.
