That was crazy. I have never seen a comp car go close to that under the index. How does the permanent CIC work for factored tracks? Would it still be the same?

Added some more photos tonight http://www.dragracingaction.com. Got too late for me to wait for SS and SG first round. Don't know the car count, Jack said 800 something, and who could debate that after a day that started at 7:00 this morning. Biggest shocker of the day is Jirka Kaplin running 1.06-something under his Comp index. Should easily run in the fives next week in Pomona.

Same guy at Mission a couple years ago went 1.1 under. The CIC hit at altitude tracks is the same, but the max permanent CIC hit for any one event is a tenth. I don't think he has too much to worry about.

Hey gang -- Its been a very , very long day and night as I just a few moments ago got back to my hotel .Sorry I didn't get to post much today but during my first round match-up she just blowed-up as they say in NASCAR .So I spent the entire day and night trying to patch 'er up for tomorrow's second round -- not sure if its fixed but I'm hoping for the best .Good news is I met a bunch of nice people today who went out of their way to help out -- tell you more about it when I have more time -- round 2 in a few hours -- gotta get some sleep -----------later

Well boys and girls here's the latest -- got here bright and early (6:05) got ready and they had called us to the lanes for second round when the sky let loose -- they just sent everyone back to the pits and its starting to come down harder -- very dark skies . For those of you who know Billy Leber -- you understand none of this affected him a bit -- still sleeping and won't even know we had a storm .He is the one to watch as he's a terror lately and will fight to the end at Pomona in this points chase . I'll keep you folks up to date ......

Unk -- As if the rain wasn't enough to spoil my day --27.46 barometer -- when will it end ????

PS-- it has stopped raining for the moment -- but they're not drying the track yet -- sky looks plenty bright a few miles from here and the wind has picked up -- so maybe .........
