People these days dont understand anything about the rules, or why anyone would want to use stock stuff and go racing with it. |

Re: Unscientific informal poll
Not a chance. No drivers anymore, just a bunch of automatons. Could race these "super" cars with remotes from the stands. Yup, I'm 60, and I miss the times of experimentation.

Re: Unscientific informal poll
64 years old, and I say it will never be same again...
Like was said here, the age of experimentation is dead. Everyone wants what everyone else has....... And guys just don't think outside of the box anymore... My son (Drooze) who is 38 does, but he grew up with me telling him to stop listening to conventional wisdow and just because something used to be true, doesn't mean that it is still true.. So question everything, and decide for yourself. That is where innovation comes from. David The New Hemi Guy ________ CHEAP GLASS PIPES |

Re: Unscientific informal poll
Yes, absolutely.
Age 58 As always, size matters: In our youth, we started out under the hood at the local service station, and bragging rights in the 60's were about the size of your carburetor. Today, for many, a fart pipe defines performance, and our youth often start out button-pushing instead of wrenching and never go back. The claim to fame is now the size of your hard drive. Sadly, most cars today are simply commodities, unable to draw an ounce of passion. Bill Rolik 1514 SS P.S. I actually overheard a customer in a NAPA store recently ask for a higher-amperage chip for his alternator! |
