Re: Who had the most successful Modified Production car?
I think Lindley and Joe always ran the Vette as an altered. The fender flairs were OK for Altered. I can't remember seeing that scoop on it. I always remembered the open injector stacks sticking through the hood. Good picture, even of Buster, too!!

Randy,
You may be remembering it from when Ronnie Williams owned it. It was still green but it had more white on it. Bob Rice |

I also remember Pete Smith. And a white Vette from Houston with two pigs making out painted on the deck lid, it was named Makin Bacon. Wish I could remember who's that was. :-). Pete's Motorola mechanical tach always had the tattle tale needle on about 11000 when he came back from a run. I'd almost get wet watching Pete make a pass. LOL On the wood on the first amber, and we had five back then. |

I was told that this was probably one of the most successful cars that Warren & Duff campaigned "in the good ole days" Back then they would race at different tracks on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. Boy do I miss modified. Doyle |
