I think Lindley and Joe always ran the Vette as an altered. The fender flairs were OK for Altered. I can't remember seeing that scoop on it. I always remembered the open injector stacks sticking through the hood. Good picture, even of Buster, too!!

The Coleman Roddy car was a different car, chassis work by John Harrison in Houston.

Is this the car you are referring to? It ran C/SM.

Randy,
You may be remembering it from when Ronnie Williams owned it. It was still green but it had more white on it.

Wow! How cool!
I also remember Pete Smith. And a white Vette from Houston with two pigs making out painted on the deck lid, it was named Makin Bacon. Wish I could remember who's that was. :-).
Pete's Motorola mechanical tach always had the tattle tale needle on about 11000 when he came back from a run. I'd almost get wet watching Pete make a pass. LOL On the wood on the first amber, and we had five back then.

I was told that this was probably one of the most successful cars that Warren & Duff campaigned "in the good ole days"
Back then they would race at different tracks on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.

Boy do I miss modified.
