Paula Cotten warned me as I was about two cars behind the water box about bald spots in the left lane. Man! Worst starting line I've been on in a long time. 1.405 60'. I'm usually high 1.20s. Don't think I scared anybody today! LOL!

First run in stock, Boster broke trans, but changed it out for 2nd run.

On 2nd run, Roz Gresens was leaking something and did not get to run. Plourd in Strickland's car was all over the track. Looked like Walther broke something. Buckner did not get a good run. Maiola left before the tree came down, so no run for him. Mikula spun really bad. Something happened to Britt Cummings in the firebird and he lifted.

Forgive my ignorance, but are these DQ's effective for the entire event or just this particular qualifying session? Ie, if they throw in some ballast or good fuel will they be allowed to make the later qualifying pass?

Most situations the car spun or something happened so they bypass the scales altogether. DQ's the run.

If car is found light at scales, DQ's the run.

If fuel was contaminated say with water or mixed with another type fuel it will come up bad at the fuel check. The tech guys usually let the racer know they are on the verge of failing or they did fail. If fuel fails, it DQ's the run only.

Unless tech caught something else (and that is rare until racer has to go to teardown barn which is usually performance driven), YES they will be allowed to make all of their qualifying passes.
