Re: Godspeed Alex Denysenko!
Rest In Peace Alex. You were a real racer and a friend to many.
A special blessing to Beth and Tony for taking care of Alex through his rough times after his stroke. You two are the true definition of what family really means. |
Re: Godspeed Alex Denysenko!
Hello everyone.
First, I thank you for your kind words. I know that Dad has talked to, helped, bitched at, and generally spoke from the heart about everything and anything racing related. He had been there, done that many times over and was not afraid to share it. He had a passion for Class Racing going back to before I was swimming. He knew everyone and all of their brothers. Many many more people that I had a clue about. He hated about every chevy ever made, yet knew everything about them, and every other car there was. Most didn't know he really was an Avanti nut. The man has taught me so much about being the person I am. He taught me to be smart, and bend the rules to make sure things happen. He taught me to not take any crap from anyone. He taught me to build a good motor, and he ALLOWED me to work on HIS car. We did thing as friends much more than as a father and son. But when the time would come, he ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS had the answer. He was ALWAYS right. I didn't have to wonder about it. He just knew. And he would end it with "No Brag, Just Fact" He was always quietly learning. He was not big on politics. It was rarely talked about until recently when he and I discussed insurance. That rant went on for about an hour....... I honestly cant begin to think of what shoes I have to fill. Even though he was shorter, and smaller than I............. He took care of people at the shop on a daily basis. Our last conversation was about looking for a 1 1/4" wrench that somehow went missing for a fitting he was working on. Wherever it is, He now knows and will point it out to me very soon. The details on arrangements are as follows. Visitation: Sunday February 28, 2-5 at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana 46360 Celebration of Alex's Life Party at our shop in town after that, Sunday evening. 3515 Franklin St., Michigan City, IN 46360 Graveside services, 11 am Monday, February 29th at St. Nicholas Cemetery, 8851 W Higgins Rd., Des Plaines, Illinois. 60656 Tony Denysenko |
